9 October 2023

We’re pleased to share that our Executive Director, Dr. Eliya Zulu, is a keynote speaker at the ongoing 20th Inter-Ministerial Conference on South-South and Triangular Cooperation in Population and Development. The conference, taking place in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, is a lead up to the 30th International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).

The meeting will track progress towards achieving commitments made at the 1994 Cairo conference.  It brings together Ministers, high-level officials, subject experts, representatives from development partners, and youth leaders. The participants will discuss on priority actions related to the ICPD Programme of Action.

Dr. Eliya Zulu is a respected population and development practitioner. His expertise is particularly relevant to Africa, where he has dedicated his career to understanding African countries’ unique demographic challenges and opportunities.

HE Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, will also patronise the conference. South Africa Minister of Social Development and Board Chair for Partners in Population and Development (P.P.D.), HE Ms. Lindiwe Zulu, will also address the gathering.

Stay tuned for thought-provoking discussions, expert insights and emerging population issues.
