AFIDEP is hosting a workshop to build the capacity of Parliaments in Africa to use evidence in decision-making from 11-12 December in Munyonyo, Uganda. The workshop aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of parliament staff in evidence-informed decision-making. Specifically, the workshop seeks to increase parliaments’ staff appreciation of the context of evidence use in parliament; stimulate their interest in undertaking actions that promote and/or enable increased evidence use; and strengthen their knowledge and skills in critical evaluation, analysis and synthesis of evidence.

The workshop is taking place ahead of the 2017 Network Of African Parliamentary Committees Of Health (NEAPACOH) meeting scheduled for 13-14 December 2017 at the venue.
