The evening event will be held at the Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communications, Nairobi Kenya and will kick off  with a short lecture by Mr. Burness entitled, “Practical Communications Strategies for Influencing a Better World.”

The conversation will focus on the importance of African-led research and policy change, and specifically, how strategic communication of research has informed and even influenced policy change on the continent. By bringing together Africa’s science, development, and media communities, Burness’ Conversations in Development series hopes to foster new connections and exchanges around timely topics, including global health, environmental progress, food security, and human rights.
