Event Date: 6 - 8 Oct 2021
Event Location: Nairobi

In response to the challenge of weak capacity among decision makers to find and use evidence in the policy-making process, AFIDEP through the as Heightening institutional capacity for government use of health research (HIGH-Res) Project is collaborating with universities/research institutes like Kenya school of Government (KSG), Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) to introduce an evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) curriculum in its existing training programmes.

In line with this efforts, AFIDEP will host a three-day workshop with select lecturers and researchers from JKUAT with the aim of equipping them with the skills needed to conduct the EIDM training course that will later strengthen the capacity of postgraduate students within JKUAT to use health research evidence in decision-making. The workshop will be held between 6-8 October 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya.

This first workshop is to be  followed by a five-day training of trainers (ToT) workshop of the curriculum.
