Kenya: Engaging youth on their potential to drive Kenya’s development agenda forward: AFIDEP and PAWA 254 science-policy café
Event Date: 20 Jan 2018
Event Location: Mageuzi Theatre, PAWA 254, Nairobi.

The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) and PAWA 254 are on 20 January 2018 hosting a science-policy café to engage youth on their potential in contributing to Kenya’s achievement of its medium and long-term development goals. Specifically, the forum will highlight the existing evidence on the youth population in Kenya and the potential this demographic group has to transform Kenya’s socio-economic landscape, if the right investments are made, at the right time.

The café focuses on rights, governance and youth empowerment in Kenya, the role of evidence in governance, and how youth can hold the government and other leaders accountable on their promises. Discussions will also feature a panel of experts in development, governance and activism.

Entry is free.
