The annual meeting of the Network of African Parliamentary Committees of Health (NEAPACOH) will be taking place from Oct 28 – 29 virtually, bringing together Parliamentary Committees from across Africa as well as key stakeholders globally. The meeting aims to facilitate the sharing of lessons and experiences on how parliamentary committees of health can more effectively address health challenges in their countries. The meeting also provides a platform for committees to develop action plans and make commitments that address critical health challenges.
The meetings are also held with the objectives of sharing progress and lessons learned regarding the implementation of the RH/FP commitments. The meetings are further purposed to build the capacity of policymakers to contribute to leadership and stewardship for the implementation of the ICPD (Plan of Action) PoA and achievement of the (Sustainable Development Goals) SDGs on the continent.
