World Malaria Day
Event Date: 25 Apr 2021
Event Location: International

World Malaria Day, marked each year on 25 April, is an occasion to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political commitment for malaria prevention and control.

On this day, the successes in the fight against malaria are highlighted as well as leaders and stakeholders urged to step up the fight to end malaria globally by keeping malaria high on the political agenda, mobilise additional resources, and empower communities to take ownership of malaria prevention and care, and to remind them that the ownership of the challenge for malaria prevention and control lies in the hands of countries most affected by malaria.
