Researchers speak on their plans to champion evidence-use by governments
30 April 2020

Early this year, AFIDEP and the African Academy of Science (AAS) convened a five-day training workshop on research communication and policy engagement. The workshop brought together 23 researchers from East and West Africa to build their capacity on effective research communication and policy engagement strategies. The workshop was a key activity of the Evidence Leaders in Africa (ELA) project, that aims to empower AAS affiliate researchers to proactively engage governments in policy processes.

AFIDEP caught up with some of the participants to seek their views about the workshop and how the experience and new knowledge will enhance their work.
