On 27th April 2017, Members of the Parliament of Malawi convened for the launch of the Parliamentary Caucus on Population and Development. Officially launched by Her Excellency the First Lady of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Gertrude Mutharika, the Caucus seeks to promote advocacy and legislative reforms aimed at tackling Malawi’s population and development challenges.

We spoke with Hon. Juliana Lunguzi, a Member of the Malawi Parliament and Co-Chair of the newly-launched Caucus to find out about the motivations behind the creation of the Caucus and what she envisions the Caucus will achieve.
