Lamu County’s total fertility rate (4.2) is about the same as the national rate of 3.9 and also means that Lamu County has a high birth rate. The adolescent birth rate is slightly lower than the national rate but still about 1 in every 10 girls aged 15-19 gives birth every year.

Isiolo County’s total fertility rate (4.9) is higher than the national rate of 3.9 and also means that Isiolo County has a high birth rate. The adolescent birth rate is also high – more than 1 in every 10 girls aged 15-19 gives birth every year. Isiolo County is one of 15 Counties that account for over 60% of maternal deaths in Kenya.

The adolescent birth rate is higher than the national rate – more than 1 in every 10 girls aged 15-19 gives birth every year. Migori County is one of 15 Counties that account for over 60% of maternal deaths in Kenya.
