Ann supports AFIDEP’s Communications and Policy Engagement team in delivering the external and internal communications strategy, developing and disseminating publicity material, media engagement and generating positive organisational exposure. She initially joined AFIDEP as a communications intern for six months.
Ann has previously worked at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) as a data analyst in a research study project on Sexual and Gender-based Violence (SGBV) offering communication and administrative support. Before that, she worked at the same organization (KNCHR) as a public affairs and communications trainee.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, with a minor in Graphics and Advertising, from Moi University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Development Communications at the University of Nairobi. She’s an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) – 2019, an alumnus of the Emerging Leaders Foundation – 2018, and was a Technical Committee member of KNCHR’s 2017 election monitoring hub.
Ann’s interests lie in corporate communications, development communication, public policy, and leadership.
