Diana joined AFIDEP in April 2014 prior to which she worked at the African Population and Health Research Center as a Communications Officer. She has over 7 years’ experience in communications having worked in various development organisations and media organisations such as Africa 24 Media (A24 Media) and Kenya Television Network (KTN).
Diana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science (Publishing and Media Studies major) from Moi University. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Communications at Daystar University.
Diana has special interest in the linkage between science communication and policy influencing. Her career goal is to use research evidence to tell stories that matter, seeking to influence the formulation of sound and responsive public polices in Africa. She also has a passion for multimedia production especially factual films, new media and their impact on strategic communication. Diana is a member of various professional associations such as the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) and the Network for the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST).
