Evelyn supports AFIDEP projects related to the strengthening of the Malawi Parliament, oversight, representation, legislation and budget analysis. She also provides communications support at the Malawi office.
She holds a Master of Social Work (Social Development and Policy) University of Pretoria, and a Bachelors of Social Science, Social Work and Special Needs Education (Catholic University of Malawi).
Evelyn previously worked as the Partnerships Manager for mHub, Malawi’s first technology and innovation hub, where she managed the development and deployment of Malawi’s first human rights portal Ufulu Wanga (www.ufuluwanga.com). She was part of the communications team while there and also worked on building and maintaining relationships with the hub’s external partners.
Her career interests lie in the rights of children, advocacy, integrated community economic development, and women empowerment.
