Honorat Gbais Gonet
Bilingual Project Manager

Honorat joins AFIDEP as a Bilingual Project Manager to oversee the BUILD project across the implementing consortium partners and countries in the West Africa Hub.

He brings in over 16 years’ professional work experience as a public health specialist with a background in economy, statistics, and demography. He is a seasoned Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) specialist, and has supported projects funded by USAID, PEPFAR and the UN across West, Central and East Africa regions. Throughout his professional stage, he has gained work experience in health systems especially on reproductive, maternal, neonatal and child health (RNMCH), HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria.

Prior to joining AFIDEP, Honorat worked with FHI 360 in Burundi, FHI 360 Côte d’Ivoire, and CARE INTERNATIONAL in Cameroon. He also previously worked for CARE France, the Centre Africain de Recherche et d’Intervention en Développement (CARID) in Abidian, Côte d’Ivoire, as well as UNFPA and Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Public Health.

Honorat holds an Advanced Masters in Demography from IFORD, Yaoundé, Cameroon(2005), a Master of Science in Statistics from ENSEA (Statistic School), Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire(2003) and a Master of Science in Management and Economic Sciences from the University of Cote d’Ivoire, Abidjan (2001).

Honorat enjoys socialising with friends and family, and likes to meet new people and learn more about African culture. He is also a keen a gym enthusiast. With friends, he is part of a fundraising committee for vulnerable pupils called “Victoires du Savoir Scientifique (V2S)”.
