Jeremiah Malu Muthoka
Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning Specialist

Jeremiah joins AFIDEP as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning Specialist, to provide MERL support to the BUILD project. This will entail designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and ensure accountability, learning and adaptation in the implementation of the project.

Jeremiah brings in over 16 years of professional work experience in the MERL field. Prior to joining AFIDEP, Jeremiah worked in progressively Senior M&E roles, the most recent being M&E Manager at RefUSHE – Kenya. He has also worked for the Danish Refugee Council (DRC); Kenya; Gatsby Africa (GA) Tanzania; Coastal Rural Support Programme – Tanzania (CRSP-T), a Project of the Aga Khan Foundation; Life &Peace Institute (Kenya and Somalia);

Trocaire HEARO (Kenya) among other organizations, mostly in the development sector. He has been involved in the implementation and evaluation of UNHCR, EU, ECHO, USAID, SIDA, KOICA, AKDN, and DANIDA funded programs implemented in Great Lakes and Horn of Africa regions.

Jeremiah believes in making MERL enjoyable by helping simplify the processes, integrate learning, measure the outcomes of interventions and transform ‘dry data’ into powerful narratives, beautiful visuals, and compelling stories of impact. His motto is “let the data speak” Jeremiah holds a Master of Arts degree in Development Studies, Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nairobi, Kenya, and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science & Public Administration, and Philosophy – 1 st Class Honours), University of Nairobi, KENYA (2001).

During his free time, Jeremiah enjoys swimming, music, and reading.
