Peter N. Ngure
Program Manager - BUILD Project

Peter N. Ngure joins AFIDEP as a Program Manager – BUILD Project, to be based in the Malawi office. He will be responsible for managing the project across the implementing consortium partners and countries in hub countries and field support buy-ins.

Peter is a Population, Health, and Environmental, speciality in Family Planning, expert with over 12 years of hands-on experience in partnership management, capacity strengthening of individuals and coalitions, sexual and reproductive health (SH) planning and advocacy, development of investment cases, and health financing.

Prior to joining AFIDE, Peter worked with FP2030 as the Partnership, Advocacy, and Accountability Manager for the East and Southern African Regional Hub. Previously, he served as the East and Southern African Advocacy Advisor at Options Consultancy Limited, and has also worked with AMREF Health Africa and the Multi-Donor Trust Fund Project.

His academic background includes a Master of Arts in Rural Sociology and Community Development, University of Nairobi, (2012), and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Catholic University of Eastern Africa (2006).

Peter is a 2019 Global Leadership Accelerator SMART Advocacy Trainer of Trainers and a 120under 40 JHU Gates Institute Winner. He is also a Mandela Washington Fellow for Appalachian State University.
