Ronald has more than seven years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research in the field of biomedical and health informatics in Malawi. He has worked on HIV, Tuberculosis, Non-Communicable Diseases, Vital Statistics and Laboratory Management Information Systems projects.
At AFIDEP, Ronald supports the Heightening Institutional Capacity for Government use of Health Research (HIGH-Res) project, and the Evidence-Informed Decision Making Network (EvIDeNt) for Health Policy & Practice in Malawi project. He also provides overall M&E support.
Prior to AFIDEP, he worked with Baobab Health Trust and held different positions, the last role as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Manager.
Ronald has a Masters of Public Health (the University of Malawi, College of Medicine) and a Bachelor of Social Science (the University of Malawi, Chancellor College).
Ronald currently serves as a member of the Lancet NCDI Commission in Malawi, Alumni of the Structured Operational Research Initiative (SORT-IT).
His career interests include health systems research, policy analysis, and advocacy.
