ASHER CONSORTIUM MEETING
Event Date: 15 - 17 Apr 2024
Event Location: Lilongwe

The Exemplars in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASHER) project will hold a consortium meeting from 15th to 17th April 2024 in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The meeting aims to refine the key drivers of success for improving adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (ASRHR), including the prevention and management of unintended teenage pregnancies and reduction of adolescent birth rates across participating countries. The meeting will facilitate in-depth discussions on the research findings, exploring commonalities and differences in the contextual factors, health system elements, and interventions that have driven progress on ASRHR. Importantly, the meeting will examine how the needs of vulnerable adolescent populations have been addressed and identify lessons and best practices that can be adapted and replicated by other countries. The insights from this collaborative dialogue will inform policy and programme recommendations to advance ASRHR, serving as a foundation for continued research and action in this critical area of public health.
