Health Tech Platform at PAMCA conference to create awareness about the Platform among scientists
Event Date: 20 - 22 Sep 2021
Event Location: Virtual

The Platform for Dialogue and Action on Health Technologies in Africa (Health Tech Platform) is facilitating a session at the Pan African Malaria Control Association (PAMCA) 2021 conference taking place virtually between 20 to 22 September. The session will introduce the Health Tech Platform to PAMCA scientists in order to create awareness among them on how they can use the Platform to advance their research and innovation efforts for the elimination of vector-borne diseases in Africa.

Under the topic, ‘Eliminating Vector-Borne Diseases in Africa: Introducing the Platform for Dialogue and Action on Health Technologies in Africa,’ the session will also discuss the results of a recent landscape and political economy analysis of emerging health technologies in sub-Saharan Africa. Among others, the results offer insights on how PAMCA scientists can expand the involvement of a wider range of stakeholders in their efforts to eliminate vector-borne diseases on the continent.
