Henderson joins AFIDEP as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer (MEAL). He will support in designing, coordinating and implementation of MEAL activities for projects, including tools development, indicator tracking and report writing.

He started his career in MEAL in 2013 on a health system strengthening project in Malawi. He supported the redesigning of an integrated supportive supervision tool for the Ministry of health. He has also been involved on empowering local CSOs across Malawi with skills on information management and evidence-based advocacy in order to create stronger responses to some of the country’s most urgent needs such as HIV/AIDS, Malaria and SRHR.

He has participated in the establishment and management of innovative platforms for tracking and documenting implementation progress and lessons for development interventions that were run by reputable international organisations such as ABT Associates, Counterpart International, Medicines San Frontiers and Options Consultancy Services.

Henderson holds a Masters in Applied Social Research from the University of Dublin and a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Demography from the University of Malawi.

Henderson is interested in implementation science and evaluation research.
