Lilian Njau is from Dar es salaam Tanzania, working for a Non-Governmental Organization called Salama Foundation as Program Officer. The Salama Foundation is women and young girls-focused organisation. Njau says young girls pass through a lot while pursuing their dreams due to unsuitable environments, and more likely not having enough support from those who are around them. She works to promote women’s and young girls’ community health initiatives and empowers them to improve livelihoods. Njau supports women and girls through different programs on education, human rights, and access to social services for sustainability and capacity building through seminars, dialogues, and workshops.

She aspires to emerge a great leader from her involvement in the PHED Leadership programme which she hopes will position her well in engaging people in her community and ultimately becoming more impactful in her supportive roles to young girls as they pursue their dreams
