Our People

Nakato Rehema Sessimba, comes from Kampala, in the central region of Uganda and works with a youth development agency known as Open Space Centre whose work is hinged on creating dynamic spaces and platforms for young people to contribute to positive social and economic development. In her role, she is in charge of programming under the Leadership Development and Influencing subthemes where she manages three of the organization’s projects including a mobile American Space. She also serves as the youngest board director at Restless Development, an international organization where she offers strategic direction on the organization’s impact priority areas for young people in Uganda.

As a PHED Leadership Fellow, Rehema says she will champion the strategic integration of PHED efforts in her organization’s projects and governance structure to enhance the synergistic role that the approach has in addressing issues most pertinent to the young people.
