Titus Kibaara
Research and Policy Associate

Titus Kibaara Ng’ang’a joins AFIDEP as a Research and Policy Associate, to support the implementation of AFIDEP’s activities under the Environment and Climate Change thematic area. Specifically, he will work closely with the Kenya Ministry of Health’s Department of Environmental Health, supporting the development of the Kenya Climate Change and Health Strategy.

Titus is a health professional with over nine years of experience in the field of nutrition and pharmacy. Prior to joining AFIDEP, Titus worked in the pharmaceutical industry, as a dispensing pharmaceutical technologist, medical representative and nutritionist. He has worked with various local pharmaceutical and medical institutions in Kenya. His keen interest in nutrition led to his focus on global health which he studied for his master’s degree.

His thesis is a policy analysis that delves into Kenya’s preparedness for ongoing climate change with a focus on food security and nutrition.

Titus holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition for Global Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (First Class Honours) from the Kenya Methodist University, Kenya and a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Kenya Medical Training College. He is duly licensed and registered with Kenya’s Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

During his free time, Titus enjoys watching football and sightseeing.
