Our People

Michael Nyasulu Phiri is a Resource Mobilisation Officer based in the Malawi office.

He is a resource mobilisation and communications professional with over 8 years of work experience in public relations management, communications materials development and dissemination, social media management, grant and proposal management, and donor relations.

Before joining AFIDEP, Michael held various positions in notable organisations. He served as the Communications and Resource Mobilisation Officer at the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) and as the Communications Specialist and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at Global Hope Mobilization (GLOHOMO).

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from African Bible College. He is currently studying a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the Malawi School of Government.  He also holds a Certificate in Proposal Writing, Grants Management, and Professional Writing.

In his leisure time, he finds immense pleasure in reading motivational books, drawing wisdom and inspiration from them.  He also finds fervent passion in watching football.
